"Prior to beginning Crossfit training this past June, I hadn't routinely worked out in several years, so I was not in the best shape. One of my classmates invited some of us to a Saturday Crossfit session at the beginning of the summer, and it was a VERY tough workout. I thought maybe this isn't for me. I'm not exactly an Olympic athlete. But I'm so glad that I decided to stay with it! What do I like most about Crossfit? The variety, complexity, and difficulty of the workouts that Chris puts together keep it from becoming monotonous. The monotony of traditional gyms made it too easy for me to get comfortable and not challenge myself, not see results, and then lose interest. Chris is an excellent trainer and has tailored some of the more challenging WODs to my fitness level. I also enjoy the interaction and camaraderie with the other Crossfitters. Since I started Crossfit training, I have noticed a difference in how my clothes are fitting. My physique is leaner, as I have replaced that body fat with muscle mass. Now here is what really has me sold on Crossfit - I was able to wear a dress that I haven't been able to get into in probably 3 or 4 years to a formal function two weeks ago! "I had fallen into a monotonous routine of going to the local national gym chain, doing a couple beach muscle lifts, get on a treadmill for a while and then call it a day. I continually kept wondering why I wasn't making any progress. The answer was that I needed something different. Right before I found CrossFit I had pretty much given up on working out. My trips to the gym had severely decreased.

I started my CrossFit journey at the beginning of October and the progress I have made has been stunning. The very first day I did a workout I knew I was hooked.
