I started teaching martial arts and kettlebells in 2002 to the guys in my unit while I was in the Marine Corps. Then I discovered CrossFit in 2006 and was immediately hooked. I loved the high intensity workouts and the many skill progressions that CrossFit offered that no other program was doing. No fitness program I have tried before has given me as many results and was as fun as the CrossFit Workouts (W.O.D.s). I became a CrossFit Instructor and taught classes at CrossFit Plano till I went to work in Afghanistan as a private security contractor. I started training the guys in my camp so they could have a higher level of fitness to carry them through a very demanding job. Now I am bringing everything I have learned from fitness and martial arts to you.

I was a competitive gymnast as a child, until I got too tall at 14. I spent the next twenty years looking for something to fill the void that gymnastics left. With no passion to motivate me I was sadly out of shape and miserable. I stumbled onto CrossFit in 2011 and fell in love! I lost 50 pounds in the first six months and have never looked back. I love CrossFit and what it has done for me; I want share the joy I have found with everyone!

I started implementing functional fitness into my physical training routine in 2008 to prepare for Marine Corps Officer Candidate School. During that time, I was introduced to CrossFit as a training method.
CrossFit’s high intensity, combined with constantly varied functional movements, challenged me both physically and mentally in a way that no other workout routine had before. CrossFit cemented itself in my life as I used it to meet the military’s demand for constant physical readiness. I now continue to CrossFit because it is the best way to stay in top physical condition and it will not let me grow bored or lazy because of routine.
I have used CrossFit to train both civilians and military personnel. I am astonished daily at how extremely beneficial CrossFit paired with a good diet is to each person’s health, regardless of past or current ability levels. I truly enjoy coaching and desire everyone to reach their full potential.
